The picture to the left was created by Gerard van Honthorst. Honthorst was a Dutch Golden Age painter who was known for his artificially lit scenes. After Caravaggio inspired him, he began his career by painting portraits. For my imitation of this painting, I asked my little brother to pose for me while I figure out what could work best. I placed a white scarf on his head to make it look the same as the old lady on the left. I also used a small lantern to mimic the lantern in the painting, but the light wasn't yellow enough so I had to edit the picture a little. Overall this painting wasn't too hard to resemble and it was very simple, not too much detail.
